Thames Valley Police Open Day

Posted by Sally on 23rd August 2018 in Events
We had a very enjoyable and successful day on Saturday at this annual event. The weather was kind to us and over 6000 people came along - most of them came to pet our wonderful, patient dogs and we had more there than at any previous event - 15! Children enjoyed collecting our stickers and we raised plenty of money as well as awareness of what we do in the community. Five members were also acknowledged for service with their previous Search Dogs who are either deceased or retired - one was sadly unable to attend but the other four are shown in the photo with Andy Clark, our PolSA (Police Search Adviser). We also took part in a multi-agency demonstration of Search & Rescue practices in the main arena, working alongside other Lowland Rescue teams in attendance on the day, and there are more photos on our Facebook page. We're already looking forward to next year's event!
