In the early hours of Tuesday 21st May, Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs were called out to assist Thames Valley Police and Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue in the search for a man in the Bracknell area.
Following a brief search by the Police helicopter two Berkshire search dog teams were dispatched at around 12.30am along with colleagues from neighbouring teams to assist in the search for the missing man.
After a full briefing both dog teams commenced searching at around 1.30am and at around 2.30am Level 3 search and rescue dog Meg, her handler Roland and his support, one of our newest members Jon, located the missing male alive but in need of medical assistance.
While the team looked after him an ambulance was dispatched and he was recovered to hospital for treatment.
A very big well done to all the team but especially Roland, Jon and of course the most important member of the team Meg whose reward is a play with her ball and a big box of dog biscuits
