the maxilla is the upper jaw, but i'm not sure what 'lower maxillary' could relate to, because you never have to describe anything as 'lower' in the maxilla (it's either 'caudal' (towards the back of the mouth) or 'rostral' (towards the nose)). The lower jaw is called the mandible though... is that what you're after?

According to the source I used (and I looked up a few), it is the lower jaw of the dog.
