We are pleased to be able to give you the opportunity to make a canine friend and help provide vital funds to support our charity.
You can sponsor any of the dogs owned by our Members. To help you decide which one you would like to sponsor, pictures and brief details of all our dogs are below.

Your Questions Answered
Q. How much will it cost?
A. The minimum sponsorship donation is £15 for one year, but you are very welcome to donate more if you would like to.
Q. What will I receive in my sponsor pack?
A. You will receive the following items:

Personalised Sponsorship Certificate (with picture of your dog and handler)
-
Sticker
-
Branded Key Ring
-
Branded Bookmark
-
Quarterly updates on your chosen dog (training progress, amusing stories etc)
-
Christmas e-card from your chosen dog
Q. Which dogs are available for sponsorship?
A. We have three levels of dogs available for sponsorship:
Operational Dogs - dogs who are qualified to search for missing people.
Trainee Dogs – dogs who are not yet qualified but are training regularly with the intention of becoming operational.
PR Dogs – dogs who are not training to become operational dogs but who often attend shows and other events, such as community education programmes, with Berkshire Search & Rescue Dogs. These dogs are also the pets of the handlers of our operational and trainee dogs.
Q. What happens if my chosen dog leaves Berkshire Search & Rescue Dogs?
A. If the dog you sponsor leaves Berkshire Search & Rescue Dogs for any reason, you will be able to continue the remainder of your sponsorship year with an alternative dog and will receive a new sponsorship certificate. |
Q. What will my sponsorship money be used for?
A. A small amount of your sponsorship money will go towards the cost of administering the scheme; we will do our best to keep this to a minimum. The rest of your donation will be put towards:

communications equipment;
-
waterproof and high visibility clothing for dogs and handlers;

training programmes;
-
essential expenses for our volunteer handlers who give their time and resources for nothing.
Q. How will I receive my quarterly updates?
A. You can choose to receive your updates by post or email. In order to keep our admin costs as low as possible, we would ask that you consider receiving all future communications by email.
Q. Can I visit the dog I choose to sponsor?
A. All the dogs are family pets of our members so unfortunately we can’t arrange private visits, but if your dog attends one of our events, we will do our best to let you know in advance so you can come along and meet them.
Q. Will I be my dog’s only sponsor?
A. Our scheme is a co-sponsorship scheme and our dogs are available to be sponsored by a number of people. Your money will go towards funding for all the dogs and their handlers.
