The best toy ever........?

Postby Daryl » Fri Nov 06, 2009 2:38 pm

Christmas is on its way and I'm sure we are all going to ensure that our pooches are included in the festive fun!

So what was the best toy that you have bought your dog or what is the top toy to buy this year for your hound?

Now that I like!

Just need a UK supplier that is a bit more cost effective than $120!

I giggled to myself when i read this, it reminded me of an email we had at work about 3 yrs ago.

A very unfortunate incident was reported in the national press about a dog chocking to death on a ball its owner had thrown for it, it turned out the ball was small enough to get stuck in the dogs throat.
With this in mind and adding a link to the press article, one of our dog Sgt's sent out an email to all of the handlers to make sure that any toys we bought for our dogs were of an appropriate size.

Dog handlers being dog handlers and having a strange sense of humor quickly sent a number of reply's, the best of which had to be:

Sgt, your email is noted, as it is close to Christmas i have got Rebal a new Scalextric set, is this appropriate?

For some reason he got a very short reply.

Love it Mike

Must admit a Scalextric would have been high on my list of "must haves" for my dogs too (closely followed by a train set of course). [wink]

Luckily I have two grand-daughters who love their scalextric I bought them. [nowink]

I had previously posted about a problem I was having with my pup suddenly finding her prey drive and not finding the 'misper' interesting enough.

This is the toy that brought her back on track again http://www.xl-hundeshop.de/shop/product_info.php?products_id=3672 -Plush Tennis Ball Funstar-

She LOVES it! Just got myself two more of them yesterday for spares. She's now going on to the refind training stage. Little steps.... :-)
