Hi,

My name is Andrea Pavoni.

My first evening was on the 2nd February 2010. I had a great evening and will definitely see everyone again next Tuesday!
I am very interested and cannot wait to start training my dog, Deacon.
Back in South Africa I belonged to a dog training club for many years and used to work our family dogs and my first German Shepherd. We took part in many obedience competitions and won many trophies and rosettes.
So I have always had a keen interest in training dogs. However I am bored of the obedience training and looking for something else to do with my second GSD.
This is the reason I would love to become a member of Berkshire SAR Dogs, something new for Deacon and I. Also a way we can give back to the community.

A bit about myself:
I am Italian and was born in Rome, Italy (hence surname and girly name) [laugh]
Parents immigrated to South Africa when I was 3. Grew up in South Africa and moved to the UK in 2002. This is why I have the SA accent.
I have an Italian passport (EU). This is the reason I can stay in the UK.

A bit about Deacon:
Deacon is a male, one year old German Shepherd. He is very bright and keen to learn. He is a fantastic addition to our family and we love him dearly.
He does however need more mental stimulation, which I am sure he will get once he starts SAR training.

Deacon really loved the recent snow we had.
Anyway sure we will get to know everyone soon and we really can’t wait to get training!
