Too right these sort of "training" aids are the fault of the human not the dog.

Glad to see that some good decisions are being made in the country. For all those people that want to use them, i think that they should be tried out first on the owner... [angry]

Victoria Stilwell did that in one of her "It's Me Or The Dog" episodes. The owners demonstrated that it didn't hurt much by putting it on their wrist. Victoria asked them to put it round their neck and retry the experiment.

It would be fair to say they got a shock (pun half-intended)...
