There is an interesting article here about the term "Drive"....

Interesting, though I did have to go have a drink and something to eat whilst I was reading it. [rolleyes] I need no "habituation" to the kitchen perhaps I need "desensitizing" to it.

We might paraphrase it like this: When describing a dog's behavior it is better to use common words and be thought un-cool than to fling around incorrect jargon and confirm one's ignorance.

Ed Bailey is entitled to his view about the concept of drives otherwise the article is making a mountain out of a molehill about cages and puppy walking socialisation.
